Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District is happy to announce Sarah Songer as the new principal of Pauma School.
Born and raised in Escondido, Songer attended California State University San Marcos where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree, Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, and Master’s degree in Educational Leadership.
Her professional journey began 16 years ago as a middle school teacher in Escondido. She then moved to Valley Center-Pauma Unified School District, where she was able to continue to hone her instructional skills as a classroom teacher across several grade levels.
Since joining VCPUSD, Songer transitioned into multiple leadership roles. She was a teacher and instructional coach at Pauma School for 10 years, and during the past school year, she was the site instructional coach at Valley Center Primary School.
Songer is committed to building strong relationships with Pauma staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
